What to Expect
When you’re looking to treat your windows with our beautiful products, the last thing you want is to feel like an alien in your own home! With Made in the Shade, our first mindset is that we are your guest! Our in-home shopping experience is designed with you in mind.
You’ve taken the time to invite us over and let us look through your home to determine your needs. We’ll sit down for a minute to talk about what you’re interested in seeing, and then bring in the samples so that you can make an informed decision. Whether you’re looking for blinds, shades, shutters, or draperies, our first goal is to ensure that you are completely comfortable — and educated — with your window fashion choices.
While you’re doing that, we’ll ask to measure the windows. We’ll go through and get the best, most accurate measurements possible so that we can ensure every window treatment you purchase will be a perfect fit. Bear with us, though — we might need to open a few closet and bathroom doors just to be sure we didn’t miss anything.
Once we’ve got all the numbers, we’ll invite you to walk through your home and discuss colors, styles, materials, and lift options so that we can give you the most accurate estimate possible.
In some cases, we can compute the cost on-site, but usually our goal is to have a written estimate to you within 24 hours sent to your email address. We do this for two reasons. First, to ensure that your in-home shopping experience is pressure-free, and second, to give you the most accurate estimate possible.
